About Karen Needle

Hello there! I'm Karen Needle, an artist from Los Angeles California. I fell in love with painting and studying art at age 9, and by 15 was being commissioned for portraits. I took a pause from Art to move to New York City where I fulfilled another great passion of mine which was acting and singing where I had the privilege of performing on Broadway, soap operas and film. I am thrilled to be back painting full time now! I specialize in acrylic and charcoal portraits. My style is vivid, lifelike, and strong. Other than portraits, I get great pleasure from painting still life, nature and butterflies. It makes me happy and I find great joy in sharing my art, and even more when one of my pieces finds a happy home. I know there is a piece that is right for you!
